Can we rename boom and bust now?
From 1997 till 2008 we regularly endured Gordon Brown referring to "Tory Boom and Bust" usually preceded by the words "No return to" and then patting himself on the back for his brilliant management of the economy.
If he returns to parliament after the next election as a backbencher, let's hope he is reminded daily of "Labour Boom and Bankruptcy"

New Labour Can't Smile
Finally I've worked it out. None of the fuckers can smile! GB just turns the corners of his mouth up at the wrong moment. I've never even seen AD try. Ed Balls must have odd balls cos he sort of winces. The evil lord looks like he's just relieved his bowels (which he may have if you think about it) Labour women try but they can't do it either, well only in that patronising Hazel Blears, Harriot Harmanhater, Yvette Cooper-Balls way. And the list goes on ....... with one exception ------------ the brothers grin
Their Dad may have been a communist but these two champagne socialists look like Tony Blair on acid. One of them has to end up leader because they are the only ones who can actually smile - fuck knows what about but at least they can do it.

Let's Save The Planet
Am I the only person who sees the irony in thirty or forty thousand people flying to the top of the planet to talk about how we should all cut our carbon emissions to save said planet? I know our delegation has pledged to "offset" the carbon they will emit by taking their flights but I don't have a clue what that means.
If it means "I'm going to plant a tree to absorb the carbon from my flight" won't that tree take 30 years to fucking grow? By which time it will be 50 feet under water if we are to believe the experts. Does it mean " I will pay a third world country some money because they haven't belched out as much carbon as we said they could" ??? This is nonsense. The net result is more CO2 either way isn't it? I don't believe them and I'm not sure they believe themselves.
If our electedexpense fraudsters politicians have the courage of their so-called convictions they should do something that makes a difference rather than just endlessly bleating on about it. I, like many others remain to be convinced about MMGW but until the government come up with viable alternatives what choice do any of us have but to use the electricity that comes into our homes and offices and run our cars on the energy that is cheapest and most readily available?
